Every address gets sorted before it gets in.

Checks run cheapest first and stop at the first clear answer, so known throwaway domains are rejected from memory and only unfamiliar domains need a DNS lookup.

AddressWhat the API seesVerdict
jane@mailinator.comKnown disposable domain. Matched against about 100,000 throwaway domains, including subdomains like x.mailinator.com.DISPOSABLE
hello@shop-0427.clickRegistered 6 days ago, no SPF record. Fresh domains with no mail setup are a common temp-mail pattern.RISKY
rahul@gmial.comLooks like a typo of gmail.com. The response suggests rahul@gmail.com so you can prompt the user.RISKY
sales@no-such-company.devDomain does not exist. No DNS record, so the address can never receive email.INVALID
john+trial3@gmail.comGmail alias. Plus-addressing is flagged so one person can't open endless free trials.RISKY
priya@company.inReal mail servers, SPF in place. Nothing suspicious, so it passes.ACCEPTED

Fast where it matters

Lists live in memory and unfamiliar domains are cached after the first lookup, so repeat checks return in under a millisecond.

Verdicts you can act on

Each response has a status, a 0–100 risk score and a plain reason, so you can block, warn or allow without guessing.

Bulk when you need it

Clean an existing list with up to 1,000 addresses per request. Each address uses one credit.

Add it in one request.

Send your key in the X-API-Key header. Your remaining quota comes back in every response.

Request

curl "https://api.example.com/v1/validate?email=jane@mailinator.com" \
  -H "X-API-Key: YOUR_KEY"

Questions

What counts as one request?

Each email address checked uses one credit. A bulk request with 200 addresses uses 200. Checking your usage with /v1/usage is free.

When does my quota reset?

Every month on your activation date. If you activated on the 15th, your quota resets on the 15th of each month. If you activated on the 31st, it resets on the last day of shorter months.

What happens when I run out?

Requests return 429 with a link to upgrade. Nothing is charged automatically. Upgrades apply immediately and keep this month's usage.

What if my renewal payment fails?

Your key keeps working for 3 days after expiry while you update your card, so your signup form never breaks without warning.

Do you store the emails I check?

No. Only the domain's result is cached to keep responses fast. Email addresses are never logged.
